These homes will be mostly un-compromised vintage beauties. They may have been remodeled in the past - say a 50's kitchen or paneled attic in a 30's tudor, but they will be cute, cute, cute!! I chose this house because though it's a 30's home, it got a partial funky-awesome kitchen and basement remodel sometime in the late 60's, but retains the rest. I think "Sabrina and Darren" would be proud! Regardless of era, the remodel is in pristine condition and included the coolest basement bar (Ye Olde English Tavern) I've seen in a long while, which includes a copper top fireplace and hardwood floors. The bathrooms are original to the 30's and so very deluxe that the main powder room includes a lit ladies vanity (not pictured), original green and black subway tile and a box shower. Also original are the leaded glass windows, the upper fireplace surround, and all the upper bedrooms are sizeable but include dormer walls which add to a cozy feel. This house was truly grand in it's day, and is every thing you'd get in Alameda at half the price.
